200 Copies

FDR 008

Description from Fan Death Records:

If Locrian’s latest full length portrays decay and waste when you first see it, “Rain of Ashes” is the is the aftermath once you’ve had time to think about what you’ve just seen. Recorded with no overdubs and no other takes, Locrian went into WMUC studios located at College Park, Maryland to record what became much more than just a session. “Rain of Ashes” is a journey, not of complex feelings, but of realizing the decay and collapse you have just witnessed is real and will never go away. Instead of completely pummeling the listener, the piece slowly rips the listener apart until there is nothing left. Though after Locrian’s first full length “Drenched Lands”, you might have to ask yourself, “is there anything left to begin with in the first place?” “Rain of Ashes” reassures you that nothing is left. 200 copies on audio cassette.
This release will be available on CD (edition of 300) from Basses Frequences (France) in October 2009 with an alternate bonus track and packaging.

André Foisy “After The Prophecy” Solo CDR: SOLD OUT

This release is now all sold out. All of the orders for it will be going out today and tomorrow.

Updates

There are three more André Foisy “After The Prophecy” solo CDRs left. I'm preparing the finished CDRs to be mailed at the moment. Order one soon if you're interested.

Looks like there are some out of print Locrian releases up on discogs. Pick 'em up if you are interested.

We just received the new Alarm Magazine (Alarm #35). I big thanks to Jamie Ludwig, Marla Seidell and the other nice people at Alarm for writing and publishing a nice feature on Locrian. There are some other cool features in this issue (actually it's more like a book) on Kylesa, Ocean, Tombs, Wino, and Zu. Check it out!

The next Land of Decay release (LOD 4) will be out in mid-September. This will be celebrating Gerritt Wittmer's show at the Metal Shaker in Chicago on September 25. We'll be primarily giving this release (a limited cassette) away for free at the show, but we're planning to have a few for sale from us directly for all of you who can't make his show. More details on this show and upcoming Locrian releases soon.
