We had a good DJ set at the Exit in order to celebrate our upcoming release "Territories."
There were some dudes from some shitty metalic harCdore band on Relapse called Misery Index that showed up before we even started and requested us to play their own songs. So...we decided not to jam any of Misery Index's metalic harCdore tracks and to start off with a band that Relapse released when they were a more interesting label: Dead World. We do admit, however, that Dead World's best release was their last one which was released on Bloodlust! But Dead World's work on their Relapse releases was awesome too and way better than most of crap that Relapse puts out today.
So we decideded to play an Assück song for the Misery Index dudes (an ersatz version of Assück.) We had a very general audience, so we had to keep the tracks mostly "mainstream" according to our host. We tried our best, but the Misery Index dudes complained when we threw in too many experimental and power-electronics tunes. You can't please them all!
Anyway, here's our DJ set from the night.

Absolute Zero Media on "Territories"
Link Here.
As you all clearly know I really like this Blackened Drone/ Industrial/ Noise band very much with this release the seem to have collabed with many people to make a more Noise/ Industrial meets jazzy release then the Drone Doom/ Noise that I know them for.. The line up of guests is very impressive and covers the metal, industrial and avant scenes . Andrew Scherer (VELNIAS), Mark Solotroff (BLOODYMINDED), Bruce Lamont (YAKUZA), and Blake Judd (NACHTMYSTIUM). Territories is all over the place as for the styles though as track 3 is a full on Black metal assault on the senses. Were some of tracks are just a Black Drone or noise manipulation. Locrian is always going to be interesting to me and many listeners as they refund to be in any kind of mold or style. Locrian is just that there Locrian and this is what makes a release like this so special.

"Inverted Ruins" Track Preview and Other News
Here's another track from "Territories." This track features Mark Solotroff on vocals and synths, and Andrew Scherer on drums. Expect this LP to be available for purchase sometime next week.
We'll be playing tracks from the album on Sunday at the Exit Club as we DJ for the Chicago Metal Factory. More information here. We'll be playing music as of 10:00pm.
André Foisy and Steven Hess will be playing a duo set tomorrow in Milwaukee at the Sugar Maple. The show is at 8:00pm and Mako Sica will also be playing. It's free too.
Also, we've been getting a lot of requests for the "Drenched Lands" tape. We are all out of these, but it seems as if Small Doses still has copies. I expect that those tapes will be available from Small Doses when "Territories" is released.

Cold Cave and Hair Police canceled this show at the last minute, but it looks like the Bottle has thrown together a killer lineup anyway.
